Alberta J. Phillips Fozzard

Alberta J. Phillips Fozzard, 79 of Cantrall died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Regency Nursing Home. She was born October 5, 1933 in Springfield, IL to Albert and Delight Cogil Miller. She married Carl Fozzard on December 16, 1973 in Springfield, IL and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2012. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
Surviving are her three children; Michael (Dorothy) Phillips of Streator, Michelle (Jesse) Wake of Cantrall and David (Anita) Phillips of Streato, seven step children; Robert West of Florida, George (Cheryl) Fozzard of Herscher, Jerry Fozzard of Bourbonnais, Sandy (Ron) Lambert of Earlville, Marlene (Derek) Brandt of Kankakee, Debbie Peters of Bourbonnais and Cindy Bush of Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three step-grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and twenty-eight step great-grandchildren.
Alberta lived in Springfield most of her life and was a graduate of Springfield High School. She worked at Herndon’s Department store, Kay Jewelers, Horace Mann and was a homemaker. She was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.
Visitation: 9 – 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
