Adam R. Cheung
Adam R. Cheung, 22, of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015 after a courageous fight with colon cancer at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was born May 25, 1992 in Springfield, to Stanley R. and Pamela M. Watts Cheung. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray Cheung and Marilyn and Donald Watts, two brothers Josh Smith and Luke Smith.
Survivors include his parents, four sisters; Amber (Anthony) Finigan of Seattle, WA; Krystal
(fiancé Dwight Langford) Cheung; Leah Cheung both of Springfield; Gina (Sean) Sylvester of Martinsville, IN; two brothers Kaleb Cheung and Nathan Cheung both of Springfield; one aunt, Polly (Bruce) Antonacci of Loami and several great aunts and uncles; one niece, Ayla Finigan; cousins, Heather (Matt) Muchorski and Dorian Antonacci; his teacup yorkie, Hope and his pit bull, Indigo.
Adam graduated from Springfield Southeast High School and received an honorary degree from Robert Morris College on January 9, 2015. He was a hockey player, a soccer player and enjoyed golf, fishing, music and animals. He loved playing with his niece.
Visitation: 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Calvary Temple Christian Center.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Calvary Temple Christian Center with Pastors Mark Johnson and Paul Rose officiating.
