Ada Marie Henn
Ada Marie Henn, 65, of St. Peters, MO and formerly of Springfield passed away on July 10, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, surrounded by her family. Ada was born on April 26, 1949 to Carmen and Drucilla (Nunn) Dinardo in Springfield. She married Leo “Tony” Henn on April 24, 1976. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Pete and Sam Dinardo; sisters, Bernadette Davis and Santa Marie Janssen, brother-in-law, Tom Brennan and her mother and father in-law, Mae and Leo Henn.
Ada worked at Horace Mann for many years until her retirement in 2011. Throughout her life, Ada was a dedicated, caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and aunt. Ada had a passion for many hobbies; she was an excellent cook and baker, sharing her delicious creations with her family and friends. She also loved quilting and was active within the local quilting community. She also enjoyed crafting, painting, gardening and traveling with her husband, Tony. Within the last few years, she became interested in ancestry and genealogy research, providing her family with vast amounts of information about its history.
She is survived by her husband, Tony of St. Peters, MO; two sons, Marshall (wife, Lisa) and Justin Henn (companion, Deirdre Nolan) of Maryland Heights, MO; three sisters, Drucilla “Peb” Brennan of Springfield, Mary Dinardo of Sterlington, LA and Angela Veach of Riverton; three brothers, Carmen Dinardo, Joe Dinardo (companion, Mary Williams), both of Springfield and Gene Dinardo of Rochester; sister-in-law, Robin Dinardo of Rochester; brothers-in-law, Joe Davis and Tom Janssen, both of Springfield, John Henn (wife, Elizabeth) of Laramie, WY and Mark Henn (wife, Julie) of Vancouver, WA, as well many dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial Gathering: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, IL.
Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Christopher House officiating.
