Victor F. Vencill, 72, of Springfield, IL died January 4, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born December 23, 1945, in Chicago, the son of Joseph Calvin Vencill Sr. and Mary Kusmit Vencill. He married Georgiana Cook on October 16, 1971 and she preceded him in death on September 16, 2005. He later married Deborah Raszkiewicz on March 24, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Vencill of Springfield; one son, David Vencill of Chicago; two step children, Jen (Jim) Florent of Springfield, and Matt (Adrian) Warren of Palos Hills; four grandchildren, Katelyn and Hannah Florent, and Violet and Alex Warren; one brother, Joseph (Susan) Vencill Jr. of Chicago and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister, Nancy Vencill.

Victor worked as the Secretary-Treasurer for Freeman Energy and retired after thirty-six years. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Victor loved to golf, bowl and spend time with his family.

Memorial Gathering: 4-6pm Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home –Sherman.
