Harry W. Sablotny
Harry W. Sablotny, 81, of Chatham, died at 4:42 pm, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital-North in Lutz, FL, due to complications of pancreatic and liver cancer. He was born July 2, 1936 in Springfield to Herman W. and Helen (Powell) Sablotny. He married Janet (Snell) Sablotny on April 10, 1976 and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Kay Sablotny and Sheri (Terry) Fischer both of Fort Meyers, FL; one son, Harry Bill (Kim) Sablotny of Chatham; four grandchildren, Bree Ann (Eric) Farmer, Tara Renee (Shaughn) Reid, Bryce Corbin Sablotny, and Cory Alan Fischer; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Farmer, with great-grandbaby Reid on the way; one brother, Michael (Carol) Sablotny of Glenarm and one sister-in-law, Brenda Sablotny of Springfield.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Walter Sablotny.
Harry was a lifelong resident of the Springfield area. He was a founding member of Springfield Area Landlord Association. He was self-employed in property management and previously working at Franklin Life for thirty years.
Harry belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield. He loved spending time with his friends and family and he never met a stranger. He also enjoyed golfing, all forms of racing, and the casinos. He also loved their dog, Roxie.
Memorial Gathering: 9-11 am, Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield.
Memorial Service: 11 am, Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Springfield, with Pastor Greg Busboom and Pastor Pam Mitcham officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
